Teresa Holland

Teresa Holland is the owner and president of Dan Tera Salon and Day Spa in Athens and Madison. She has been in the salon industry for 22 years. Teresa has worked with many different lines such as Loreal Sebastian, Paul Mitchell, and Redken, but fell in love with the Aveda way of life 14 years ago. Recently expanding the Madison location, she has shown that not only is she one of the best stylist, she is very intelligent when it comes to business having two successful salons. Teresa is a Master Stylist and has had many girls apprentice under her that have become successful stylists. She is trained in Helix cutting and has taken numerous Aveda classes. Teresa is a leader living the Aveda lifestyle and loves it!

Peggy Atkins

Peggy Atkins is originally from Athens, Alabama and lived in Columbia, Tennessee for some of her adult life. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage. Peggy worked at Fox & CO Salon and Spa, an Aveda concept salon, while living in Columbia. She attended Madison School of Massage Therapy to obtain her certificates and has been in the industry for 15 years. Peggy attended the hot stone massage workshop, certified in "Quantum Touch", energy and healing modality, and many more Aveda classes. She has been with Dan Tera since 2008.

Lacy Aycock

Lacey Aycock is from Eva, Alabama and in now living in Hartselle, Alabama. She attended Calhoun Community College for Cosmetology and graduated in 2007. She has been working hard in the salon industry for 3 years. Lacey is a stylist at Dan Tera and has been with us since 2009.

Heidi Bill

Heidi Bill grew up in the Madison area and now lives in Five Points. Only being with DanTera II since 2009 she has made a big impact on the salon. Along with graduating from Pivot Point Cosmetology School, she also has her Bachelors in Business from Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama. Heidi has taken Retail Edge, Technical Texture Class, Aveda Color I and II and many other classes to stay knowledgeable. She has been working in the salon industry for 4 years.

Jennifer Bougher

Jennifer Bougher was born in Baton Rouge, LA and moved to the Madison area a year ago with her husband. Jennifer has been employed by Dan Tera Salon and Day Spa II since 2008 and is a Hair Stylist in the Madison location. She graduated from Denhem Springs Beauty College and began working at Rigsby Frederick. She had extensive training with the owner at Rigsby Frederick after graduating and getting her licenses. She has also taken multiple color and cutting classes throughout the six years she has been in the salon industry

Angie Castleberry

Lynn Childers

Lynn Childers was born and raised in Harvest, Alabama. She has been with Dan Tera II since 2005 as a Master Stylist and has also incorporated Lavish Lashes within the past 6 months. Lynn graduated from Pivot Point Cosmetology School. Along with going to Aveda Color I, II and III, Pure Form and Full Spectrum Deep classes, she has attended numerous hair shows including St. Louis, Chicago, Nashville and Birmingham.

Whitney Corum

Whitney Corum was born and raised in Athens, Alabama. She is the main nail technician for the Athens location. Whitney apprenticed under the master, nail technician at lovely Nails in Florence, Alabama. She has been at Dan Tera since 2008 and doing nails since 2006. Whitney specializes in nail design and free hand French manicure and pedicures.

Cheryl Dodd

Cheryl Dodd is from the Madison area. She is the Spa Coordinator along with being a Master Manicurist. She has been in the spa industry for 7 years and working with nails the past 4 years. Cheryl is in charge of coordinating all big parties we have coming into Dan Tera II to spend the day. She graduated from Beliza Nails and every two years keeps herself up to date with the master classes required. Cheryl has been a part of Dan Tera II team since 2007.

Erica Garrison

Erica Garrison lives in Hartselle, Alabama where she was born and raised. She attended Calhoun Community College to get her Cosmetology licenses. She has been in the salon industry for 7 years and as a Master Stylist at Dan Tera since 2004. Erica has been to all Aveda color classes, Aveda Make-up, and numerous other classes over the years.

Lauren Hall

Lauren Hall is from Athens, Alabama where lives with her husband daughter. She apprenticed under Teresa, the owner of Dan Tera, and now is working on the floor as a Stylist. Lauren has completed Color I and II and has her Pure Foiling certificate, she has also been to Pure Form and Aveda Make-up. She has been with Dan Tera since 2005 assisting and running the front desk.

Maria Holland

Maria Holland is from Decatur, Alabama. She is a licensed massage therapist #2347 and has been nationally and state certified since April 2007. Maria attended the Madison School of Massage Therapy. She has been through many of Aveda's spa classes including Spa Rituals with Jillian and Chakra with Jill. She has also taken classes at the Center for Massage on Lymphatic Drainage. Maria has been in the industry for 3 years and has been with Dan Tera II since 2008.

Caroline Hudson

Caroline Hudson is from West Limestone area and is a recent graduate of West Limestone High School. She was very active in high school and now brings her energetic spirit to Dan Tera's front desk as a coordinator. Caroline in now attending Calhoun Community College and has been with Dan Tera since 2009.

Rebecca Hudson

Rebecca Hudson is from Rogersville, Alabama and now lives in Elkmont with her dogs. She attended Pivot Point International Academy to obtain her licenses in cosmetology. She is now a Master Stylist at Dan Tera and has been with us since 2005. Rebecca has been in the salon industry for 5 years and loves every minute of it. She has taken Color I, II, III, Razor's Edge with William Edge, and many other classes to stay informed.

Michelle Kovacs

Michelle Kovacs is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and has moved to Madison with her husband. Graduating from St. John's school in Huntsville, Alabama. Michelle has been in this industry for 3 years. Michelle is an aesthetician at the Dan Tera II location and also does all waxing. While living in Atlanta she was the spa director for 2 years at Natural Body. She has a PCS certificate for peels and is a Sinuscynsure lazer tech. Michelle has been at Dan Tera II since 2009.

Nicole Lackey

Nicole was born in Huntsville, Alabama and moved to Meridianville, Alabama. She apprenticed with Bethany Williams to get her licenses as a nail technician. Nicole is a managing nail technician in the Madison Dan Tera. She has been doing nails around 10 years and been with Dan Tera since 2009. Nicole has taken Aveda Spa Rituals and the proper classes to be a managing manicurist.

Kari Lindsey

Kari Lindsey was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and now lives with her family in Monrovia. Kari has been a part of the Dan Tera II team since 2006 and is a Master Stylist. Kari graduated from ERIK of Norway in Wisconsin and has been in the industry for 21 years. Her most recent continued education classes consist of Aveda Unplugged 2009, Aveda Spring Trend 2008, Full Spectrum Deep 2008, the Birmingham Hair Show 2008, along with numerous others.

Jodi Lord

Jodi Lord is from Tennessee and moved to Alabama to pursue a career. She attended Madison School of Massage Therapy to become a licensed massage therapist. She has been with Dan Tera since 2008.

Nanette Montesani

Nanette Montesani moved from Marrietta, Georgia a suburb of Atlanta, to Anderson, Alabama with her daughter. She became a Master Cosmetologist and Esthetic ian after attending Duncan School of Cosmetology and Alabama School of Cosmetology. Nanette has been in the industry for fourteen years specializing in color and has become one of the full time aesthetician at both Dan Tera locations since coming to Dan Tera in 2007. Not only has Nanette taken many straightening classes, but she has attended numerous hair shows from Orlando, Florida to New York City, New York.

Melissa Montgomery

Melissa Montgomery is from Hartselle, Alabama where she lives with her husband and new baby boy. Melissa has been in the salon industry for 10 yeas and as a Dan Tera girl since 2004 as a Master Stylist. She got her degree from Calhoun Community College. Melissa has attended many classes over the years including all Aveda color classes, Master Jams and William Edge Cutting.

Lindsey Nelson

Lindsey Nelson was born in Fairfield, California and shortly after moved to Tampa, Florida for seven years. She has been in the Madison area for 14 years and in the salon industry for 2 years. Lindsey is an apprentice under Teresa at the present moment and will move to the floor within the year. She has been with Dan Tera since. 2008

Davia H. Newman

Davia H. Newman was born in Prospect, Tennessee and now lives with her husband in Decatur, Alabama. She has been with Dan Tera II since 2003 as a Master Stylist and is known for changing her hair color and style numerous times throughout the year. Davia graduated from Pivot Point Cosmetology School. She has taken many color and cutting classes over the years to stay up on her knowledge for her clients. Davia also enjoys going to different hair shows to get new ideas for styles and color.

Amber O'Shields

Amber O'Shields is from Athens, Alabama in the East Limestone area. She attended the Aveda Institute in Atlanta getting her license in Aesthetics. Along with her managers in Aesthetics, Amber also has her managers in cosmetology for Alabama and Georgia. She has been awarded many awards including Most Professional in 2007 from the Aveda Institute and 1st place award in Long Hair Design for Calhoun Community College. Amber also is involved with a photo tour in which she does the make-up for the models. You can find her work in Mondo Biker Magazine of Spain, Car Kulture Deluxe Magazine, and Monza Restaurant Calendar along with many other magazines. Amber works at Dan Tera II in Madison and specializes in full body waxing.

Brandon Pepper

Brandon Pepper is from the Elkmont area and a 2008 graduate of Faith Christian Academy. He is the executive front desk coordinator of the Athens location. Brandon is currently also attending Calhoun Community College to pursue a career in business. He has been with Dan Tera since 2009.

Jamie Scoggins

Jamie Scoggins is from Lawrence County and now lives in Athens with her little girl. She attended Calhoun Community College for her degree in cosmetology. Jamie has been with Dan Tera since 2007 in the Athens location. She has attended Color I, II, Pure Form, and Aveda Make-up to stay in touch with today's changing society. Jamie loves doing all up-do's and make-up applications.

Erica Smith

Erica Smith is from Ardmore, Alabama and attended the Limestond County Career Technical Center during high school. After graduating high school Erica went to Chattanooga State where she finished up her Cosmetology degree. She is a Master Cosmetologist and has her license in Alabama and Tennessee. Erica has attended numerous color and make-up classes and in 2007 attended the Leadership Conference and Skills Championship where she came in 1st place in the Men's Hair Design division. She has been in the industry for 5 years and with Dan Tera II since 2006.

Rebecca Wheat

Rebecca Wheat is from Hattiesburg, Mississippi and now lives in Athens, Alabama. She attended Pivot Point International Academy and now is a licensed cosmetologist. Rebecca is also a front desk coordinator for the Madison location. She has attended Color I, II, III and Pure Form to learn the knowledge of the Aveda way. Rebecca has been in the industry since 2005 and a Dan Tera girl since 2009.

Lindsey Wigley

Lindsey Wigley lives in Rainsville, Alabama where she was born and raised. She attended Xcell Academy a Paul Mitchell Partner School in Hoover, Alabama. Lindsey is a cosmetologist also does manicures and pedicures. She has been in this industry for 10 years, starting out working in her aunts salon shampooing. Lindsey has been with Dan Tera II since 2009. Lindsey has also taken Color I, II, III and Pure Form

Whitney Wood

Whitney Wood was born and raised in the West Limestone area. Whitney has been with the Dan Tera II Girls since 20007, as a Master stylist in Madison. She is a graduate of Calhoun Community College. Whitney has taken Aveda color I and II, along with cutting classes to keep up with the different looks of the year.
